Tag — You’re It!

A new challenge has been issued by Gary Simpson in the Alex Jeffreys coaching class. The idea is to write 25 things that most people don’t know about you — interesting, crazy, bizarre. Once you have been tagged and write your post, you tag 5 others. I have been tagged by Glenn, Thanks Glenn! so I’ll give it a go.

1. I spent time learning to fly. I got as far as doing a cross-country trip — flew from PA to Iowa where we visited Field of Dreams, from the 1989 movie. I did not finish but hope to once my children are grown. There is nothing more beautiful and calming that taking flight on a warm summer day.

2. I have worked in my current job for 20 years! I’m looking forward to kissing it goodbye in December to take up IM full time!

3. I worked at Friendly’s as a teen. I loved ice cream then, and still do!

4. I drink iced tea every day.

5. Almost all of the work done on my house, I have done myself. I stripped and refinished the hardwood floors, put down the kitchen floor, and put up new cupboards. I really enjoy working on my house.

6. I am currently taking a kickboxing class for old ladies. To join the club there is only one rule — you cannot look good in spandex.

7. I love chocolate. I also consume a great amount of this daily. Kinda eliminates the positive impact of kick boxing, I think.

8. My favorite winnie-the-pooh character is Eeyore. My daughter is a tigger — so we get along well!

9. I love to go outside in the winter and gaze at the stars. We are all just a speck in the universe. Very humbling to remember that from time to time.

10. I grew up riding snowmobiles and minibikes. I love the feel of wind in my face. I look forward to owning a motorcycle within the next year.

11. When I was in my 30’s I took a bartending class. It was great fun learning how to make such a variety of drinks!

12. I have visited China, England, Scotland and 30 of the 50 states. I would like to visit Japan, Germany, France, Spain and Australia in the future. I would also like to return to China. It is such a beautiful country.

13. I love to listen to music and do yoga to maintain calmness.

14. I love to plant flowers, but then usually I forget to water and weed! I need a gardener.

15. I enjoy research and figuring out how/why things happen.

16. I hate a sticky car. I limit the kids to drinking water only in the car.

17. I spend lots of time reading motivational material!

18. One of the favorite family times with my girls to spend the evening painting our nails, putting on makeup and dressing up in fancy dresses! Daughters keep you young!

19. I went to my very first concert in the 1980s. We had front row seats to Billy Joel. Tickets were $25 and I thought that was such an outrageous price for a concert! Haha! How times have changed!

20. My favorite dish is Pad Thai and I get it whenever I go to a Thai restaurant. With chicken.

21. My least favorite chore is cleaning the kitchen floor. Although once I make my first million, I will not hire a maid, I will hire a chef! How I would love to have someone cook for me!

22. I am quite introspective. Doing this kind of task — 25 things — is right up my alley! I love to reminisce and plan future goals.

23. I used to play the harp. I played for three years when I was in my 30’s. They highlight was when I went to a recital and a little girl came up to me and asked me whatever made me want to learn the harp at MY AGE????

24. I am a quilter. Although I have put it on hold while my children are young, I plan to start it up again soon! It is the ultimate expression of creativity and it has always been my therapy!

25. I love being a mom more than anything in the world. Every day is a fabulous adventure!

I pass on the torch — I am now tagging Jeanette Fitzgerald, Jose Perez, Mark Strong, Syed Akram, Bruce MacKinnon! Go for it guys!

How about you? Leave a comment about something that others don’t know about you!
